Powermaster

asme data report

A boiler is a pressure vessel that is exposed to direct fire, and as such, its design, calculation, and construction must follow strict standards.

In addition to following NOM-020-STPS, the Mexican standard governing pressure vessel and boiler safety conditions, Calderas Powermaster has committed itself to adhering to the much more rigorous American Society of Mechanical Engineers (“ASME”) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (the “Code”), one of the most demanding standards of boiler and pressure vessel design, calculation, and construction in the world.

Founded in 1880, one of ASME’s early objectives, prompted by large insurance companies alarmed by the enormous number of fatal boiler explosions occurring at that time, was to improve the safety and design of equipment involved in the process of steam generation.

ASME AUTHORIZATION CERTIFICATE PREREQUISITES

When a manufacturing workshop with the intention of stamping bodies of boiler according to the code ASMEyou need to obtain the certification of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers with the authorization to affix a stamp ASME.

For obtaining such approval will have to meet a number of special requirements for the code ASME: You will need to have an engineer entitled to occupy the post of quality control and must meet the letter of the code ASME. This engineer dedicated solely to the control of quality, will be the liaison between the inspectors of ASME and the workshop. The shop must prepare your quality control program (Quality Plan Control) which shall contain all of the control points and inspection by part of the workshop, such as:

Control of drawings and specifications.
Control of materials list.
Control of acquisition of materials.
Control of reception of materials.
Control of storage of materials.
Control of quality certificates of the materials, especially steel plate for the manufacture of the boilers.
Special Control for the different welding materials.
Control of welding: welding Procedures qualified.
Control of welders: Qualification of welders.
Control of stress relieved in a furnace of stress relieved.
Control of non-destructive tests: will Be outsourced to an external company as a neutral to carry out non-destructive testing of X-rays with opinion and diagnosis.
Inspection during the manufacturing process.
Inspection of the assembly of the body.
Inspection of installation of pipes flux.
Hydrostatic test.

The workshop will have to have a furnace of stress relieved to be able to take out the stress relieved of all welds that form the body of the pressure of boiler, according to the requirements of the code ASME.

The workshop will have to have a welder is qualified to carry out the welding of the body pressure of the boiler. Their welding procedures must be qualified with quality code ASME Section IX, for each type of weld that is used in the body of pressure in the boiler.

Once the workshop meets all of these requirements elementary, requested the visit of an inspector workshop in the united States. This inspector checks all the documentation referred to above, the qualification of the chief engineer, quality control, qualification of welders, welding procedures, the visits of the workshop for the manufacture of boilers, especially the furnace of stress relieved, machine for roughening tubes cannons hot, and the equipment for welding with the plant.

During this first visit, the inspector carries out the physical inspection staff of a boiler-specific, double-checking all the documentation and procedures required for the printing of this boiler-specific.

If the workshop you pass the test, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers awarded a certificate of authorization to affix a stamp ASME for boilers for a particular effect.

To be able to stamp the seal ASME in a particular boiler, the workshop requested the inspection of an inspector authorised in Mexico to come to verify the manufacture of the boiler according to the code ASME. This takes place 3 visits to each boiler. At each visit Czech necessary documentation and the manufacturing steps according to the code ASME.

The inspector checks each of the steps, since the acquisition of the right material, the certified quality of the materials used for the manufacture of this particular boiler, its design and calculation according to the Standard ASME. In the same way, check the selection of materials, welding procedures, the handbook of quality assurance of the process, the qualification of welders, the quality of the weld seams according to standard x-rays of the same, the assembly of the body of the boiler, the certificate of stress relieved (oven relieved of efforts for the solder seams of the body), and finally the test pressure or hydrostatic test of the body according to the ASME.

Subsequently, and once the boiler has gone through all these steps of inspection in the form of 100% satisfactory, the inspector issues his or her report data (DATA-REPORT) to which this boiler can be stamped and registered with a number in the ASME of the united States.

In other countries, there are other codes or standards of manufacture (for example: in Germany the DIN and international standards ISO), which have their respective systems of calculation and inspection, but none so challenging as the Code ASME of the united States of America. The safety margins higher and longer service life (greater depths) are the dictates of the code ASME,, that is why, it is the policy of Production of Boilers and Pressure Vessels of greater acceptance worldwide.

A client that requires a body of boiler stamped with the seal ASME along with the delivery of a copy of the DATA-REPORT your boiler, you'll have the security of having acquired a body of boiler manufactured with strict adherence to the code or standard ASME and with the supervision of an inspector authority, endorsed by the ASME USA. You will have the assurance that your boiler was manufactured in an approved workshop to stamp the seal ASME with current authorization.

You will get the desired quality, with the security of a physical inspection detailed, by an inspector authority qualified by the ASME in the united States, in order to carry out this inspection in Mexico. It is not the same type that the boiler was manufactured with strict adherence to the code ASMEthan to write that the boiler was manufactured with strict adherence to the code ASMEin a workshop authorized force to stamp the seal ASME, under the inspection of the inspector's authority, as authorized by the code ASME, for which delivery to the boiler stamped and a copy of the DATA REPORT of the inspector signed by the same.

The power to stamp the ASME, make really according to the ASMEhave a fabrication shop that has the certificate of authorization for the stamping ASME in effect, to have the inspection of a third party certified and licensed by the ASME to issue a DATA REPORT and finally be able to stamp the seal ASMEit has an additional cost, which ensures the quality of the product, its useful life and reliability, and safety in your operation.
